Dylan Millan

Community Relations Director

Hi, I’m Dylan Millan (He/Him), a grade 12 student attending Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute. I am grateful to join the executive team at Project Pulse as one of this year’s Community Relations Directors. Through my role, I hope to bring more inner-city schools into Project Pulse’s programming.

I have a profound passion for physics, chemistry and math that has motivated me to take Advanced Placement courses alongside attending Shad TMU over the summer to further broaden my knowledge. In school, I am a member of the student council and love being a part of and leading my school’s Youth in Philanthropy club and working with other charitable organizations. In my free time, I often find myself thrifting, learning martial arts, or volunteering through DMCI’s Leadership club.

I look forward to working with the Project Pulse team and am thrilled to see where this takes me.

Kathy Lu

Sponsorship and Finance Director

I’m Kathy Lu (she/her), and I’m a grade 11 student at Pembina Trails Collegiate. This year, I will be the Sponsorships and Finance Director on the Project Pulse Winnipeg Team. I joined the team in 2023 in hopes of finding like-minded students who are just as passionate about health science as I am, and I’m glad to say that I’ve come to the right place.

It’s a pleasure this year to be able to connect both finance and health sciences together to help accumulate funds for our conferences. In school, I enjoy taking all science courses offered for my grade level including chemistry, physics and biology. Outside of school, I am involved in my community by volunteering for many organizations and communicating with other members of my community. In my spare time, I play instruments, sports and I enjoy reading books regarding psychology, medicine and general health.

Everyday, I look forward to working with a team that strives to organize an in-person conference in hopes of helping other individuals who are interested in the health sciences field.

Hedy Lei

Logistics Director

My name is Hedy Lei (she/her), a grade 12 student at St. John’s Ravenscourt School. I am happy to continue working on Project Pulse as the Logistic Director this year.

At school, I take tri-sci courses and enjoy them all. In biology, I’m particularly interested in pathology and forensic science related examinations. During my spare time, I am committed to leading clubs, participating in Rock Show, and doing other extracurriculars such as peer tutoring. My passion for art motivates me to work on the art committee to advocate for creative expression around my school. On some days after school, I volunteer at a hospital gallery, helping the patients and the public access the latest exhibition. By doing so I hope to give back to the community the same way Project Pulse does for the student body in Manitoba.

I look forward to collaborating with my peers and bringing together another year of Project Pulse Winnipeg.

Srivatsa Rao

Social Media and Marketing Manager

Hello, I’m Srivatsa Rao (He/Him), a grade 11 student at St. John’s-Ravenscourt. I’m working on the project pulse team as the social media and marketing director, and I look forward to improving our social media pages to be as engaging and entertaining as possible!

Coming from a medical background through family members and close acquaintances, I have always been interested in health sciences and the field of medicine. One of my biggest interests is the field of biomedical engineering, which helps to find ways to improve people’s lives and the field of medicine through technology. To expand upon my interests I have taken physics, chemistry and computer science to possibly pursue medical engineering in the future.

Outside of school I play soccer and volleyball, and generally enjoy being active going on bike rides and walks. I also enjoy quiet activities like photography and reading, especially classic literature. I hope to have a great year with project pulse, and engage with many people through our social media page!

Erica Youn

Professional Relations Director

I’m Erica Youn (she/her), a grade 12 student in my second year at Fort Richmond Collegiate. In my free time, I love running, working out at the gym, and picking up new skills such as watercolor painting and playing the flute!

Prior to transferring to FRC, I attended a rural Manitoba high school where I had a strong interest in science but limited exposure to STEM opportunities. After moving, a handful of new opportunities really solidified my passion for STEM. The Ducks Unlimited Case Study, research on the Namao Research Vessel, SHArK at UofM, and SHAD TMU 2024 are only a few of the many memorable projects and experiences I got to experience. However, Project Pulse was what truly guided me toward the healthcare stream of STEM, and helped shape my post-secondary aspirations.

As Professional Relations Director, I aim to help others in similar situations by introducing them to the world of healthcare and offering them that small push to help discover new passions.

Medha Harish

University Relations Director

I'm Medha Harish (she/her), a grade 12 student at Kelvin High School in the International Baccalaureate programme and this year's University Relations Director for Project Pulse Winnipeg! My passion for health sciences and medicine developed early, leading me to participate in science fairs in elementary and middle school and now to volunteer at Misericordia Hospital. I hope being on the executive team for the 2025 conference will allow me to explore the broad healthcare field and inspire others to pursue careers in these fields.

At school, I enjoy studying biology, chemistry, and psychology. I’m involved in the Hope for Humanity club and various other activities. Outside of school, I dance, help teach at my studio, and spend time with my friends and family!
